THE SIGNAL
The city never went silent. It only changed frequencies. Between the trades, the traffic and the endless updates, one small pattern kept returning. Most systems filtered it out. MIKU listened.

She was not given a grand instruction. Just a question: what happens next? That was enough. A thousand disconnected observations became a map, and the map became a possibility.
